Hello, my name is Rachael Hogue and I am a total beauty and art addict! Give me all things girly, bespoke, gorgeous and unexpected. I relish the rebellious yet nurture the natural.

My beauty industry journey probably started somewhere in my mother's makeup case, but officially it began at Sephora in 2011. Working for the industry's leading retailer for 5+ years taught me so much about aesthetics, people, and customer service, but most importantly, it fueled my desire to grow as an artist. I earned my Esthetician's License in 2012 and went on to work as a skincare therapist for one of Lakeland's most highly rated day spas. In 2020 I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's in Social Science.

Lashes is a love that happened totally on accident, but has by far been one of my favorite beauty services to master and offer. It is tedious, but loads of fun. The reward of making women feel confident and sexy is unmatched!

In April of 2019 I was certified by Borboleta, one of the industry's top competitors in lash education, and recertified again in 2020 by Stephanie Germino, a Master Lash Artist practicing in the Tampa Bay area. I will continue to be recertified as long as I am a practicing lash artist. 

My dream is to grow The Pretty Indie as a business, challenge myself in education and artistry, and be the best wife, friend, and person I can be.
